I am a 65 year old avid Colorado hiker and I love this pack. I grew up with the Fanny pack back in the late 80s. After 30 yrs. Never thought I would buy another one! But along comes Free Range gear. I use this pack as my everyday purse and on short hikes. It is amazing how much this pack holds. Best part it’s hands free, and as a great old broad, I never lose my purse! PS I also get ton of compliments on the mountain design from fellow Colorado ladies.

Ample room, generous adjustable strap, amazing design and beautiful art. What more could you want from a phanny pack? Nothing. It's perfect and I use it as my daily run around bag, fits all the things without feeling cumbersome or bulky. Be prepared for people to stop you on the street asking you were you got it.

This bag is awesome! I take it with me everywhere, I go for a hike every day with my dog and it is perfect for my day hikes and I just carry it with me every day in the car too. It just holds everything that I need.

Excellent quality of items and beautiful

I admit it... I have 3-4 "regular" fanny packs hanging in my entryway. BUT I only use one. That's right. My Free Range Phanny is the only one I use. It's sad for the others, but my Phanny and I try to be kind as we go out for rides, runs, and everywhere else. This phanny can do it all! It stays comfortably in place when I run (no bouncing when it's almost full or nearly empty); it's fun to sling over a shoulder to run into the grocery store or as I ride bikes around town; I stuff it full of water, snacks, hand warmers, and spare gloves for nordic + alpine skiing; and sometimes I even throw it in my Free Range Tote as a purse or snack bag. The key chain hook-thingy is key. The inner pocket is perfect for keeping my phone and chapstick in place. Adjusting strap length and extra-strap-length management is a cinch. Great buckle.

Sorry to fanny packs everywhere... the Free Range Phanny is simply way way better.

Excellent, durable product for versatile use

Never have I ever had a tote that (1) has gone everywhere with me every single day and stood up to all the demands of adventure, travel, and bopping around town so beautifully, (2) gotten so many compliments, and (3) brought me joy every time I glance its way or repack and reorganize it because I tend to do that.

Bottom line: this tote is totes the best bag I've ever had and I will use it forever.

One more: zipper pocket is amazing. And the other pocket too. Love.

Using for hiking in Peru

I received a free range bag as a gift and loved it so much I decided to get one for a friend! I use this bag for everything- groceries, travel, yoga, you name it.
